Oak Creek Homes presents exciting news, new products and innovative design.

Fort Worth, Texas, April 22, 2005 - The U. S. Environmental Protection Agency has awarded Oak Creek Homes the 2005 ENERGY STAR for Homes Outstanding Achievement Award. This award recognizes the important contributions the company has made to energy efficient construction and environmental protection by building more than 50 ENERGY STAR qualified homes last year.

ENERGY STAR qualified homes are at least 30% more energy efficient in their heating, cooling and water heating than comparable homes built to the 1993 Model Energy Code, resulting in reduction in both utility bills and greenhouse gas emissions.

According to David Lee, Director, ENERGY STAR Residential Programs, “the ENERGY STAR for Homes program is growing strong. We are excited to announce that over 130,000 homes earned the ENERGY STAR label last year alone. We appreciate the contribution Oak Creek has made to help ENERGY STAR achieve this great level of success.”

Oak Creek’s Fort Worth manufacturing center has been building ENERGY STAR certified homes since 2002 and the company’s Lancaster, Texas manufacturing center received its ENERGY STAR certification in 2004.
